Tyrian is an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter. The player controls a space ship fitted with different weapons and enhanced energy shields. Money is earned by destroying enemies and grabbing bonuses, which is then used to purchase upgrades such as weapons, shields, energy generators, and different ships from interlevel menus. The game is fast paced and presents a variety of enemies and bosses.

Fraxy is an arena shooter featuring a collection of boss fights, with an editor included to facilitate user creation as well. Use the cursor keys to operate your ship, hold the left mouse button to shoot or press the right mouse button for a temporary speed boost. The left shift key or mouse wheel can be used to swap weapons. Energy is deducted whenever a shot is fired or the speed boost is activated. Without energy, your ship will explode. Up to five weapon slots can be fitted with your choice of arsenal using the config.exe file, with an explanation for each found in an english text manual in the same folder. An undocumented item is the Over Soll Power boost, which can be acquired by staying in the core of a power-up item for a couple of seconds. Much like Cho Ren Sha 68k, though this upgrade is a temporary one and useful only when the ship is at full strength. A specially designed Try mode is available for players to experience preset challenges, while the Free Play mode offers a random run or unlimited practice for experimentation. In this game you can create enemy bosses to fight against! thanks to the included editor

A nice japan shoot'em up.
Use the space key to skip cutscenes, tap the X key to shoot and press the shift key for a temporary boost. The Z key can be used to initiate a special attack, possible only when the smaller blue gauge at the top of the screen is full.
The F1 function key can be used to pause the game. Select the second option from the main menu to start playing. If you lose, a continue option will appear as the first choice although progress is not saved when you exit the program.

You take on the role of Dr. Smallship, a doctor in the late 21st century that invents a powerful shrinking device. With a new deadly bacterial infection spreading across the world that medical science has no cure for, our doctor gets the idea of shrinking a fully-armed space fighter in order to do things the old-fashioned way! The governments of the world quickly step in to offer their assistance, and five combat ships specially designed for inner-body combat are prepared for the dangerous mission of cleansing the body of the first test subject -- er, patient -- to undergo this dangerous surgery. This is of course his first attempt at such a mission, so hopefully things all go to plan. If they do, the world may have hope yet!
Unfortunately, on your way into your patient, you were ambushed by several foes who managed to consume all of your weapons except your primitive energy weapon, the Blaster! Hopefully as you work your way through the patient's body, you'll recover them. Especially that experimental Freeze Bomb... The objective of the game is to pilot your ship, through the body of your first (brave!) patient who is infected with this deadly nameless bacteria, and destroy the sinister bacteria that are eating away at the patient's innards. You will visit the brain, the stomach, and finally the heart of the patient; the three areas that the bacteria attack. There is evidence that suggests a massive 'boss' bacteria that commands all of the others with its enlarged nucleus. Let's hope he didn't manage to consume any of your weapons!

Acidbomb is a fifty level puzzle game where you must find the pistons used to trigger a bomb and defuse them before time runs out. There are many bombs scattered around the world, from biological bombs that have hair-sensitive triggers to napalm bombs that are exploding at the seams, to nuclear warheads that have challenged even the highest trained bomb defusal agent.
Along with this game you get the Virtual Bomb Simulator which allows you to make your own bombs, and a minigame called Ac!drop that is completely different from the rest of the game...but you'll see that for yourself.
Given that all the bombs in the game have random pistons, you will never EVER solve a bomb the same way twice. Ever.

A trippy space shooter,. combining 3 distinct modes of play, progressive difficulty levels, and an advanced control system that jumps off from Rotate right, Rotate left, and Thrust. Adding Strafing, Flipping (180 degrees), and a Lock On system with self guiding missiles. This version of Hive Mind is an unfinished one. There linger in the code some unfortunate errors. As well the balancing is unfinished,. i.e. the number of Jellyfish spawned goes up each level, however they should not all spawn at once as the level starts,. issues like these are being fixed. This is an early state version.

Fast thinking shooter action.
Try to clear the 3 levels with 100 percent in this Action Shmup. Stratagy is as important as fast fingers here, as your advisaries will close in on you if you get to deep into hostile territory. To end the level just move forward off the top of the room, in this way you are able to skip ahead a level, although you don't get 100 percent this way.

An old-timey sidways scrolling shooting game, grab the pointy pods that drop from the eye creatures, to advance the progressive difficulty. Defeat the boss eye thingy to beat the game. This can be done in under 5 min. however, it will take you longer if you are destroyed and made to restart.

Disaffected! is an arcade-style game with fast action and high replayability. The player controls one or more employees behind the counter at a typical copy store. As each level starts, customers enter the store through the front doors and line up behind the cashiers at the counters. The player must try to find and deliver each customer's order. Obstacles include confused employees, employees who refuse to work, employees who move orders around indiscriminately so the player cannot find them. Its deep thumps echo throughout your ship, and flame flowers bloom out of the Viking's hull.

This is primarily an Action game, but you need to implement some strategy and tactics. You will have to decide which path your squad will take, which enemies you will attack, when to cease fire and when to open fire.
It uses the familiar "RTS" controls, where you command your drones with the mouse. But at the same time, you get to make immediate decisions for them - you will have to aim, shoot, and reload. You take control of the action, not merely the strategics: More like being a Sergeant of a squad, rather than a General of an entire army.

La Soeur de Barrage is a pretty decent shooter with emphasis on boss fights and accessible controls. Use the mouse to move the character and hold the left button to shoot.
