Comments and Rating for the file Hours of War
Hours of War Rating: 1

In Hours of War, you build your career as a military commander, and battle alongside and against your friends in epic World War II battles. Try your skills in Allied landing in Normandy 1944, the Battle of the Bulge, or Soviet mass offensive against Finland at Tali-Ihantala 1944!

You are one of the commanders, fighting alongside and against of up to 5000 human players in World War II campaigns and scenarios such as Allied landing in Normandy 1944, the Soviet mass offensive against the Finns at Tali-Ihantala 1944 and more to come. Your objective is to create an ongoing military career by commanding your troops to victory in battles that rage on 24/7!

The objective of the game is to beat the historic results.

The game is persistent, meaning it will run 24/7, until the scenario time runs out (e.g. Tali-Ihantala lasting from 25.6 to 9.7). While you are away from the game, your units will still react to events and act on their own e.g. fire against spotted enemy units or try to escape battle area if things get too rough.

All game scenarios and campaigns are multiplayer, ranging from 40 player positions to hundreds of player positions. Later on we will have thousands of players battling on certain campaigns.

In the game, if you are playing any other position than Battalion commander (lowest commanding position, and the most tactic one), you will most probably have direct human player subordinates. You will use the in-game commanding tools like mail, drawing tools, and chat, to explain the objectives to other players.

A browser with Flash 10 is all you need. No other downloads or installations required. Runs on PC, MAC and Linux.

The game is and will allways be free to play. There will however be benefits for those officers that choose to part with a small amount of money by purchasing a premium account to support Game's Developers in running the war.
