Spring:1944 is a WWII themed game based on the open source Spring Engine. The Authors’ goal is to create four fully functional sides (US, Germany, USSR, Britain) with period-accurate units and strengths. Realism is a primary design goal, second only to creating a game that is fun and accessible to play.

For a free it’s really a nice game but the lack of maps, few vehicles and 8vs8 only doesn’t make it a winner in the long run, in my opinion, plus the cartoonish style of the graphic is a thing one can love or hate.
Btw i think that downloading and play this game to see if you like it or not, it’s worth the ‘effort’..

Blitz 1941 is an online-based Full-3D tank simulation based on the German-Soviet conflict during World War II.
