UFO2000 is free and opensource turn based tactical squad simulation multiplayer game. It is heavily inspired by the famous X-COM: UFO Defense game. While UFO2000 engine was specifically designed to be compatible with the graphics resources and maps from X-COM, you don’t need any proprietary data files to play as a new fan-made set of graphics exists and is included in UFO2000 distribution by default, so the game is ready to run out of the box.

An unpolished version of Master of Orion dating back before the game’s launch. Master of Orion was originally titled “Star Lords”, which you may have heard referred to as “MOO 0”. The game runs in genuine MS-DOS mode – run start.exe to get the game going (press start to skip by copy protection). Requires DosBox to run on modern systems.

“Confrontation” is a new web card game based on the famous miniature war game from Rackham. It’s a card game based on the rich lore, beautiful world, and stunning characters of Aarklash. Players assemble their own army decks, with the hero of their choice, through an epic story seeing famous enemies. Decks can be upgraded with booster packs sold in the game shop. Also players are able to battle their friends, or play in tournaments to test their skills and tactics.

LordsAWar! is a free, turn-based strategy game where up to 8 players strive for control of as many cities as possible. Produce new armies in cities to conquer nearby cities. Using the income from those cities, make more armies to take more cities. Send a hero to a temple to get a quest, or maybe search a nearby ruin instead. Play with others or against the computer.

WargameProject is a Turn Based Strategy with its own fantasy universe. At the moment it can be played Single player (Campaign) or Hot Seat/PBeM, but developers are also working on network multiplayer. There are 3 playing sides in the game – Men, Dwarves and Dark. Each has unique gameplay feel and mechanics. The key features are rich unit model and sophisticated weapon system.
