Wings of Apocalypse sports much of the same gameplay mechanics as many other shoot em ups but with a twist! Each character in the game has Deflector Shield in which he or she may deflect enemy attacks of the same color. For example; Naomi’s Deflector Shield is Red, therefore she may only deflect Red enemy fire!
As the title say, a nice shoot em up, retro themed similar to Gradius/Nemesis.
Contlade is a nice, freeware japanese shmup, with cartoony visual effects and generous amounts of action! It has some Engrish and a decent introduction, and some twist (you can clash beams with enemies and win if yours is stronger, slash bullets and find secrets with electric blades, etc.). You can rack up great score multipliers and fire off several weapons.
Banisher is from the creators of Contlade and Arginaros and was the middle/side project of the bunch. Its pace is a little more hectic than Arginaros and the game is a bit more stylish like Contlade. The main difference bewteen this and the other games is that it’s a horizontal shooter, unlike the other two, which are vertical.
You can summon “options” to your aid that can be deployed, act as shields, and deflect some bullets back at enemies. If they sustain too much successive damage, they’ll be destroyed and you will have to create more.
