UPDATE:The game is no longer Free to Play.

QUAKE LIVE started as a web browser, game developers decided to make the game as a standalone, downloadable game by the end of 2013. Linux and Mac support will be available only through emulation or virtualization software, the desktop version will not have native support Mac and Linux versions. Well this could be a good thing for WarFace too, if they will ever decided to make a desktop version.

Alien Arena: Combat Edition has been released!

Combat Edition now includes the brand new Alpha Demo of Alien Arena: Tactical, a completely new mode of play that is objective oriented, slower paced, and requires precise teamwork in order to defeat the opposing team. Tactical pits Aliens vs Humans in a struggle to disable the enemy base by disabling their defense systems, destroying several key components and sub-components.

Do you remeber Nexuiz? The first version of the game was released in 2005. Development continued with many online contributors over the years, with version 2.5 released in October of 2009. In mid-2010 it was announced that a new XBLA, PSN, and Steam downloadable remake of Nexuiz would be done from the ground up by IllFonic using Crytek’s highly anticipated CryENGINE3 game engine.

You can play the Nexuiz on Steam for free this weekend.
