Transform your PS3 in a PC Linux

posted in LINUX, NEWS | Leave a Comment

How about upgrade PS3 hard-disk and installing on it Linux?
There are many applications, like open office and you can surf the web or watch a video, i am not attempting this cause the price of the console is too high for me, but if the price would be a little lower (100-150 euro) i could maybe attempt it.
What do you think? It seems you can ‘t run windows games using wine. 🙁
I find out that sony blocked chips on the linux-ps3…

What’s new in the PC games?

posted in NEWS, VIDEO | 4 Comments

guild_wars_factions_01.jpg

Lately i was wondering.. is there something new in the gaming industry?
Don’t misunderstand me, i like games like bf2, cod4, guild wars etc etc..
But still i am curious if gamemakers can do something new with the if..then
machine invented 50 years ago (the computer).

I think this list can give a glimpse of something new on the horizon..
(please note games are not in any favourite order)

Guild Wars 2
A massive, gorgeous mmo, what’s new u’ll say? It’s the first real mmo
to have no monthly fee…

Spore
From sim-creator comes this particular game. You start as a bacteria
to evolve until becoming a space-god entity with a galactic empire.

Total War:Empire
A living and breathing 1700-1800 era with the addition of real time
naval battles where crew enter the fights as well. Amazing.

GTA 4
Ok this maye it’s not new, or maybe yes.. The formula is the same
seen in previous chapters with addition of some multiplayer modes
and gorgeous looking graphics.

Mirror’s Edge
Not sure about this.. Should be a 3d action-adventure made by
legendary dice developers. The new thing is that you can interact
with the enviroment with the full parts of your (character) body.

Physyx Engine.
The next big thing? As you know the ageia was acquired by nvidia.
What about games with full destructible enviroments, thousands
of debris that float at full speed and other spectacular mess..

I think at this point is pretty hard to come up with a game ‘new’
most of the games today were already made good or bad, do you think
they will come up with something new? Do we need new ‘books’? or
we are just fine as far as they keep writing good books?
And you what do you think? Do you think there is something new
that deserve a place in this tiny list i made? Rock on dudes and
cya.
