Bloodline Champions

posted in NEWS, VIDEO | Leave a Comment

Bloodline Champions is a competitive online multiplayer game for up to ten players in which two teams fight for dominance. Each player can choose between a variety of playable Bloodlines with different spectacular abilities, from the awesome strength of the Vanguard to the deceptive magic of the Harbinger. These Bloodlines fight each other in a unique setting, combining Asian and African cultural influences into something completely new.

Bloodline Champions is a game primarily based on player skills instead of character level. Most abilities in the game are projectile based, which means that if your attack hits something it really hits. There are no miss chances, no critical strike chances, no min/max damage, no chance values at all. This makes Bloodline Champions into more of an action game than its’ competitors.

Bloodline Champions will have a deep but simple system for character development, making sure that players are as entertained playing their first game as they are their hundredth.

Sid Meier’s Civilization Network

A message from Sid Meier!

Hello Civ Fans!

I wanted to let you know we’ll soon be looking for beta testers to help us develop a unique new way to play Civilization. Ever since we finished Civilization® Revolution™ last year, I’ve been looking at ways of expanding the Civ gameplay experience to include solo, competitive and cooperative play to take advantage of the uniqueness of social networks. We’re calling this project Civilization® Network™ and the full game will be available next year on Facebook. Civilization Network will allow you to join together with your friends to create the world’s most powerful, richest, smartest, or just plain coolest civilization. You can coordinate your strategy to win great battles, share your technology to jump ahead of your rivals, lobby your family and friends to form your own government and win vital elections, manage and grow your cities to maximize production and happiness, spy on your enemies, and work with your friends to create the great Wonders of the World. The game will offer everything you enjoy in Civ in a fully persistent environment – you can play as much as you like, whenever you like, and it’ll be free to play.

We’ll offer a closed beta of the game soon, so stay tuned for details on how you can sign-up to participate. The full game will launch in 2010. For more information about Civilization Network, including development updates and behind-the-scenes posts from me and the Firaxis team, join our Facebook fanpage here.

Thanks and Stay Civilized!

Assault Tech 1: Battletech

Assault Tech 1: Battletech, or AT1:BT for short and as better known, is an independent, non commercial Activision’s MechWarrior 2 series remake using a more advanced DirectX 7 graphics engine, BlitzBasic’s Blitz3D ( Blitzbasic.com )

Not only it includes aspects from the classic game, but combines the best gameplay details from the three most popular MechWarrior games (Mechwarrior 2/3/4) as well as it implements new Classic Battletech rules that were long awaited by most die-hard Battletech fans, and looks forward to include even more control over other types of units aside from the well known ‘Mechs.

Like in the classic game, the storyline-timeline is based around the refusal war between the Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Wolf and also currently including its post-war expansion: Ghost Bear’s Legacy.
