APB close! Wow this is probably the fastest shut down of an mmo, only 4 months. I am not completely surprised through, surprised for the fastness but when you see the game and the business model you know it would have gone this way. 6 years of development with a speculated budget of 30 – 50 million dollars, and after 4 months the game servers are shutted down? I think many people realize the magnitude of this.. This should have been an online GTA, and in all honesty i wished this game to succeed, to expand, personally i lost any interest in this game when they announced the monthly fee.
Well at least they tried to make a different game, something special, i think we will re-see apb in a different business model.. some kind of free korean grindish mmo.. which it will never be a GTA online..

The Need for Speed World team removed the Level 10 cap and made the game completely Free to Play.
Previously, gamers who didn’t buy the Starter Pack were unable to progress past Level 10. Now anyone will be able to race all the way through to Level 50 and will have full access to the entire World, all Events and Game Modes, both present and future.

* Unique battle system turns every battle into a full-scale war; its winner depends on troops positions, on the chosen strategy, and on making the right decisions at the right times. Some players even call the battles “chess-like” for being deceptively simple but having some serious tactical depth.
* The development of your character is supplemented by the development of your castle. You control and manage the training of troops, building and upgrading workshops and barracks – and then travel all over the game world looking for resources, blueprints and adventures.
