Unreal Engine 4 Now Free

Unreal Engine is now FREE. FREE for game development. FREE for Virtual Reality. FREE for education. FREE for architecture. FREE for film. Pay a 5% royalty on games and applications you (commercial) release. The 5% royalty starts after the first $3,000 of revenue per product per quarter. Pay no royalty for film projects, contracting and consulting projects such as architecture, simulation and visualization.

Sonic World

Sonic World is a fan game engine geared towards the Adventures and Heroes games. It is a very advanced enhancement of the BlitzSonic engine. The game is also very customizable. One of the game’s focuses is characters. 20+ playable characters. They are all individual with a certain set of shared moves. The game is looking to mix the best of Sonic games altogether along with new ideas.

Unreal Engine 4 goes to School

Unreal Engine 4 is free to use (unlimited) for colleges and universities. The engine can be installed and used on all school owned computers, and personal copies can be provided free of charge to all students enrolled in accredited video game development, computer science, art, architecture, simulation, and visualization programs.

Unreal Tournament 4

Unreal Tournament 4 will be done together to the players, when the game will be playable, it will be free. Not free to play, just free. At that point Epic will create a marketplace where developers, modders, artists and gamers can give away, buy and sell mods and content. Earnings from the marketplace will be split between the mod/content developer, and Epic. If you want to contribute to the next UT game, even for just an opinion register a free account with Epic. For Windows, Linux and Mac.
