Leonardo was a genius. Using a mirror on his famous paintings should make appaears hidden pictures, according to this website, the inspiration from this tecnique came from the writings of ancient philosophers, there should be hidden images in the codex too, visible only trouugh the use of a mirror, pointed in the right direction, which sometime are the same actors of the paintings that suggest it.
