Dwarf Fortress is a single-player fantasy game. You can control a dwarven outpost or an adventurer in a randomly generated, persistent world. Although Dwarf Fortress is still in a work in progress, many features have already been implemented. The world is randomly generated with distinct civilizations, dozens of towns, hundreds of caves and regions with various wildlife. The world persists as long as you like, over many games, recording history and tracking changes.
NOTE:the screenshot is how dwarf fortress could look like in a (very distant) future, on the author page on the to-do list there is an option to use custom tileset, currently the game graphic is ascii (text-mode). If you like this game support its author with a donation.

I have installed on virtualbox Ubuntu linux 7.10 and updated then i have installed lampp server (Linux Apache Mysql PHP Perl). So if someone want try Linux Ubuntu or Lampp you can import my virtual machines on virtual box and dont need to install anything else..
