Well i am pretty sure that most of you already know UT3 Engine sdk (UDK) are available for everyone, that’s right, theorically everyone now has the power to make games like Gears of War 2..
This means modders can publish (free or commercial) their mods, or startin from scratch create a brand new game! I browsed the net and found this interesting projects.. and you? Do you plan on making a game with UDK?
Tiger’s Bane is a hybrid of the shoot-em-up and simulation genres, combining side scrolling action with realistic elements such as limited ammunition, accurate modelling of weapons and their effects, flight dynamics that take inertia and wind into consideration, and a wide array of real battlefield machinery to fly, destroy, and protect.
In Tiger’s Bane you take on the role of air cavalry commander against a growing world terrorist threat. You have full control over which helicopters you and your wingmen (up to 2) will fly, including the Apache, Comanche, and Super Cobra Gunships, and the Blackhawk transport helicopter. You can also call on support from F-16 and A-10 attack planes from the fighter squadron.
The more than 80 missions take place in various locales, including large cities, island chains, and blistering deserts. Random weather effects such as rain, wind, fog, and thunderstorms are modelled, in addition to variable time of day. For night missions your helicopters are equipped with infra-red night vision systems.

Let’s make things clear, this game is identical in all three version (PC,X360,PS3) which means on PC no dedicated servers, and online matchmaking restricted to 9 vs 9.
This is not the best game ever made, but if you like FPS it is one of the most enjoyable, i think details are amazing, as you can see in the screenshot, there is the c-130 chaff and flare ‘Angel’ (a real class touch in my opinion) or in the screenshot of the gunfight you can see so many details one doesn’t even notice during the fury of the fight, but they are still there.. The single-player is short, multiplayer is identical to console (limited from a pc-gamer point of view), the russian version of the game does not include a controversial scene that allowed the player to shoot at innocent civilians in a Moscow airport.
Did i buy this game? no, but just beacouse i feel it is overpriced and the way is made now multiplayer part of the game is not attracting me. In my opinion this game started and was designed for console (xbox,ps3) and pc version is just a straight port, obviously the PC Gaming is not dead but outside the World of WarCraft i don’t see a lot of freshness..

Google Chrome OS is an open source operating system for people who spend most of their time on the web. It aims to provide users with a fast, simple and secure computing experience. Netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available to consumers late next year (2010).
Bullshit or good stuff? I really dunno.. Could be interesting to get this with a 100 us dollars computer (but i am pretty sure that the google-pc will cost a bit more), to just surf the web or use office applications, BUT the fact that your files are stored online it ‘s a thing i can’t accept.
