Here is a zip which containts the first 50 games, according to the readers-voters preference. Most of the games are playable in the browser, some have versions for linux and mac.
In the zip there are also included the source code (where available).

Stencyl is a great and free program to make flashgames and (iOS games soon) for PC and MAC. No coding required, but there is the possibility to add any as3 script you want to.
We talked about this one in june 2007, back then it was in development and for creating java games.
Once you created your game, you can share your game on Stencyl.com with a single click. Embed it inside your own site or blog. Or just export a SWF and do whatever you want with it — even upload it to third-party portals like Kongregate to make some cash.

Juggernaut is a free-to-play browser-based MMORPG. It can be played after a short registration and without downloading any client software. Although you do not need a client in order to play the game, there is also an optional client available, which reduces traffic and increases the game’s operating speed. Once you have registered and are logged in, the action starts immediately and only a few moments later, combat action awaits you, revealing fascinating 3D graphics.
