This is madness!. I don t follow the “professional” gaming, but wow i don’t recall such a big prize for a game tournament.. One Million dollars in cash to the winning team! Valve announced The International. This tournament will be the first time Dota 2 is shown in public, and will take place August 17th – 21st at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The International features the 16 best Dota teams in the world competing in the Dota 2 Championships through a group stage, double elimination playoff format over the course of Cologne’s five-day trade show. The tournament will be broadcast in four languages (Chinese, German, Russian, and English) free of charge. The winning team will receive $1 million. “The International is the first public Dota 2 event and will give the tens of millions of gamers playing Dota around the world their first look at the new game,” said Gabe Newell, president and founder of Valve. “I have had the good fortune to watch the competitors as they prepare for the tournament, and the level of play is extraordinary.”
Dota 2 will be available for the PC and Mac later this year.

Heroes of Newerth is a Real-time Strategy game made by S2 Games based on the Warcraft III scenario Defense of the Ancients otherwise known as (DotA).
Players in Heroes of Newerth control a single character in a 3/4 perspective, fantasy-based world. HoN focuses on hero control and development, and removes many of the common features of classic real time strategy games, such as base management, resource collection and single-player missions. Currently there are a total of sixty heroes consisting of thirty for each faction, the Legion and the Hellbourne. S2 Games has stated more heroes are forthcoming, but have not officially stated the number of heroes that will be available at release.

This Chaos Demon got pwned by a Space Marine.
Space Marine is the best game made in the Warhammer 40k Universe so far, since the release of Space Hulk, many years ago. So far the cinematic promise a lot of hours of pure entertaining, and when you are done with the fireworks, there is a decent multiplayer part too. Since the first time i saw Gears of War i thought wh40k needed a game like this, and to be honest there were a lot of references to the Empire in the Marcus Phoenix ‘s game, which resembled me some kind of Imperial Guards on steroids or an heavy version of the Guards. The game features 54 tracks in 8 sceneries, 7 cars and a Track Editor. It focuses on closed rally tracks with possible stunt elements (jumps, loops, pipes).The game and editor both run on Windows and Linux. The Windows installer has all tracks included.
