Designed by Laura Shigihara, Melolune is a story about a pair of twins who live in a land where people must collect song fragments and put them together in order to keep their world alive. After a catastrophic event takes the lives of the twins' parents, they are mysteriously separated.

Melolune is an adventure rpg that features a unique musical dungeon mechanic. The player has to use fragments of songs in order to solve puzzles and progress through the world. The soundtrack was also created by the game's designer and features a wide variety of immersive music that helps guide the story and gameplay.

RRRRRPG is in some superficial sense, an RPG (as the title would suggest). However, one crucial change has been made: There is no content in the game. Every plot event, pre-rendered background, elaborate dungeon, and block puzzle has been cut out to streamline the experience. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls, Bethesda have released The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall as a free download. To run this game on newer systems, you will need to use an emulation program like DOSBox (included in the zip).

Daggerfall featured one of the first true 3D worlds on a massive scale, with a game world the size of Great Britain. The game had twice as many features as Arena, a deeper role-playing system, and helped usher in an RPG renaissance in 1996.

Exit Fate is a full-length RPG created with RPGMaker XP.

The game is based more on the Suikoden series of games. This means that there are a LOT of characters to recruit for your army (75 in total), and that there are strategic war battles throughout the game. For those who are familiar with the Suikoden games though, the author points out a few important differences:

* There is no time limit for any of the characters. It's impossible to permanently miss anyone.
* There is a reward for obtaining all characters, but it will be obvious what it's going to be, and you're not required to get it before any specific point in the game.

F1: change controls/video settings (see manual for explanation)
Alt+Enter: switch to full screen. I have no idea why there is no normal key combination for this.

In SE:SS, you are tasked with charting the long-abandoned Serpens Sector, a region of space reached through a wormhole near Earth. A remake of Mike Singleton's Lords of Midnight.

The MIDNIGHT ENGINE is intended to be one program that can play both Lords of Midnight and Doomdark's Revenge. But not only that it can allow others to create new and exciting adventures either within the midnight world or using the midnight style. The designer can keep the rules that were
implemented for the Lords of Midnight or Doomdark's Revenge Scenarios or they may use the default set, giving their new game a different feel. Alternatively they can easily change code or data to completely change the rules.

The Midnight ENGINE also incorporates FRONTENDS. This allows new visual styles to be implemented without changing any of the game. This can be just graphics or even a different style of ouput.

On a remote desert island, a small robot named Coffee is slowing discovering the details about something strange that took place there more than a century ago. There are broken robots here and there, as well as a mysterious signal coming from under the ground. Coffee has befriended these old broken parts, and is determined to uncover the mystery of a strange virus that seems to have killed them those many years ago. Controls:
Arrow keys control movement for every navigation element in the game, including the avatar when you are in the console. These keys are also the only keys used for the different minigames you will play during battle.
Enter- Use this key to scroll text to the next page, or leave a menu screen. Mouse Click- The mouse is used to do most functions during combat. The mouse button is also used to fire your weapon while in avatar form.

The action of A Blurred Line takes place in a futuristic world, in which all natural resources have been used up and a "Catch Colony", that gathers cosmic energy is the planet's only source of energy.
As the game begins, you are controlling a party that is trying to stop an unknown person from breaking the Catch Colony's connection to earth which would kill all colonists and rob the earth of it's only remaining energy source. After the connection seems to be destroyed, the game flashes back to events that took place two years earlier and the player finds himself in the roll of Talan, the person who tried to destroy the connection, and it turns out that he is just an ordinary worker. It is not going to be an ordinary day for him though, as the factory he works at is visited by the President of the Agency, the most powerful organization on the planet. The President is assassinated when he is talking to Talan, and Talan is left as the only suspect. Without hope of proving his innocence, he must try to escape the Agency and find a place to hide. During his journey however, he meets people who live outside of the system that he grew up in and finds out that the story of the Agency and the Catch Colony is not quite as glorious as he (and everybody else) was made to believe ...

Gameplay-wise, A Blurred Line is very similar to 16-Bit-Console-RPGs, which comes as no surprise, as it has been created with the RPG Maker 2000 tool. Most of the time is spent exploring the world map or various dungeons looking for treasure and picking up random battles. These Battles use the standard battle mode of the RPG Maker 2000 and play quite similar to turn-based battle modes of typical Console-RPGs. Every party member can attack defend use items or special attacks. Every character has a unique special skill, the most important one being that of the main character. He can detect and absorb his enemies "Aura", which enables him to use their special attacks for the time of the battle. If he absorbs a special attack often enough, he will be able to use it permanently. To make things a little more interesting outside of battle, there are a few simple puzzles as well as some mini-games.

Last Scenario is a game made using the popular RPGMaker XP. The C key is used for most interactions and menu selections. Press the X key to access the inventory screen or to cancel any choices. F1: change controls/video settings (see manual for explanation) Alt+Enter: switch to full screen. Secret Of Ultimate Legendary Fantasy Unleashed is a nice dungeon crawler. Check the author site cause he plans in releasing a linux and mac version too, and if you like the game consider buying merchandise like t-shirt for help him.

2003 Fallout 3 prototype, codenamed Van Buren, which was in development at Black Isle Studios until the studio closed down.
A few very basic notes:
1. Installation is basically unpacking the RAR file and clicking .exe. There is some waiting time the first time you load it.
2. Don't forget that this is a pre-alpha tech demo from 2003: the combat is pretty much unimplemented (sucky realtime only), the graphics are really basic. Also, most people will want to change the resolution, which can be done after the first time you run it. See instructions here
3. The file is a whopping 241 MB, but don't be disappointed that it doesn't offer a full night's worth of gameplay (though in true Fallout style, it offers a lot of different paths to victory).
4. Also in true Fallout style, the demo is very, very buggy. Expect frequent crashes.

Sunset Over Imdahl is made in rpg2k, but I haven't used any title-based graphics, all the scenes consist of hand-drawn panoramas. The game is pretty short, it contains only a few hours of gaming. It is not a demo however, this is the final version. Enjoy. "

George Gilbert:"Return to Chaos (hereafter RTC) is my Windows version of the FTL classic "Dungeon Master", originally released on the Atari ST and Amiga in 1987, and its sequels "Chaos Strikes Back" and "Dungeon Master II".
