The game is planned to be a story-driven 2d platformer.
Gameplay will be oriented around exploration, combat and interaction with the game world’s inhabitants, the Lapratanians. As the game progresses, the player will be able to upgrade their weapon with several different kinds of ammo and apply other improvements to the character.
“Karoshi” is a Japanese word and means “death from overwork”.
The goal in this unusual platformer game, as such, is to die.
Each level is a new puzzle, and often requires you to think outside the box.

Eegra ShinDig 2008 was an independent game-making competition with cash and prizes… The Shindig ran for three months, and it had a theme: COLOUR. Here is a collection of the entries (nine) of this competition.

A hard as Hell platform.
I Wanna Be The Guy: The Movie: The Game is a sardonic loveletter to the halcyon days of early American videogaming, packaged as a nail-rippingly difficult platform adventure. Players fill the role of The Kid, a youthful, vaguely Megaman-esque protagonist on a quest to become The Guy. This inscrutable plot, however, is just a vehicle for a wide variety of inventive, well-designed and frustrating jump-and-shoot challenges that pay homage to many of the games you loved as a child. The ever-fragile Kid explodes in a shower of red pixels at the slightest brush from the game’s many obstacles, from traditional spikes and bottomless pits to more unconventional killers, such as plantlife and puzzle pieces.

Hank Hoedown makes some pocket money by selling eggs, and plans to win the yearly egg contest with a huge egg. NationalLiberal, on the prowl for revenge, steals the big eggs and sends out his minions to paint and hide the rest of the eggs. Hank, along with his old pal Bernard Buffalo, has to go through 27 levels, meet around 20 different enemies and search for hidden bonuslevels to defeat NationalLiberal once again and get his egg back. Just like the first Bernard & Hank this is a straightforward platform game. The graphics are as simple as in the first game, but the gameplay, sound effects and music tracks are more advanced. Bernard & Hank is about the farmer Bernard Buffalo and his retired friend Hank Hoedown. The evil businessman NationalLiberal wants his farmland, to build a factory farm on it. He sends out his minions to steal the deeds to the farm. Bernard and Hank will have to get this back, and they have to get rid of all the liberalminions. They will have to go through 40 normal platform levels, 3 driving levels and meet 15 different enemies to do so. The game is a bone-headed platformer with moving platforms, collecting coins, jumping on fat people and getting shot by cowliberals. The game also contains some minigames, to be unlocked by finishing levels.

showcases the engine and some upgrades.
FaceWound is a nice platform-shooter, rich of particle effects, and fully 3d accelerated, fight your way through levels full of zombies. The game has an editor included, with which you can do maps or mods.
The year is 2288. The city is protected by an organization called “The Peacekeepers League” and everything is swell except for that it’s under attack! By a robot army lead by professor Darnacus Damnation!! Or is it… ? 100 years after the events of Noitu Love 1 the new star of the Peacekeepers is Xoda Rap, and what she has to endure is a sudden resurrection of the Darn armies, but adding to that the city is locally turning to places of the past! What could be causing this?
Using a mouse reticule as a quick-dash-to-enemies and mouse gestures for special moves, Xoda will take on anything that stands in her way in the name of peace! The game shares little in pacing and action to Noitu Love 1. It is more of a continuation on that universe, so expect much more mindless action!
This pre-release version contains stage one in it’s entirety, and a third of the second level.

A nice platform game.
Bonesaw: The Game is an indepedent 2d side-scrolling game that mixes elements from puzzle, beat-em-up, and platforming genres. The game’s central theme revolves around Clarkson University, and the University’s hockey team The Golden Knights.The game does not take place at Clarkson, nor will you see levels that are taken from campus. The player takes on the role of a lone Golden Knight who must save the rest of the team from an evil Referee who has taken them hostage in his interdimensional penalty box… in space. With over 30 levels, a ton of collectables, and some side things to do, this game will be pretty big (for a 2d, independent side scroller.)
