Ghosts’n DJs : EDM Retro Arcade Lampoon

Inspired on Ghosts’n Goblins, Ghosts’n DJs keeps the feeling of the classic arcades: precise movement, quick action, retro graphics with big pixel, CRT screen simulation… on the other hand, the monsters you have to fight are not retro at all: Devil Gueta, Steve Sushi, Paris Sheraton, Pauly Douchebag and Pitbullshit. To defeat these evil creatures you count on physical music supports such as vinyls, CDRom, pen drives and tapes as weapons.

The video game, which is still in progress, was launched on Kickstarter crowdfunding platform the 16th October, the same day of the Madrid Games Week fair public release and where Ghosts’n DJs won the second prize as Best Indie Game voted by the audience.

Skjaar – an adventure game on Kickstarter

Skjaar is a hybrid steampunk/horror/fantasy adventure game with elements of action and stealth for PC and Mac.

Hi,
we’re a small team from Croatia and the UK and we’re working on our first game. Is called Skjaar and it has it’s own kickstarter campaign.
A little bit about our game. Skjaar is a hybrid steampunk/horror/fantasy adventure game with elements of action and stealth for PC and Mac. We’ll make a Linux version as well soon after those two because people have been asking us about it. The main part of Skjaar consists of solving the secret of the mysterious building the suddenly appeared in our character’s world. From the first seconds of play you’ll notice the strangeness and danger of Skjaar’s world. One of the main things that separates Skjaar from other adventure games is it’s ever changing environment. You can never be sure what you’ll find in the next room even if it’s the room you just came from. Another key feature of Skjaar’s gameplay is the way you decide to face dangerous situations. While it is possible to fight your way through or sneak in the shadows to avoid fights almost completely, you can also decide to use the environment in your favor.

If you find any of this interesting, please go check it out:

Thank you and best regards,
