LunarPixel, an indie game development team, has released a roguelike/RPG Android game Dragon’s Dungeon. The game is a good pick both for genre devotees and those who’re about to enjoy RPG and roguelike games for the first time.

In contrast to typical hardcore roguelike games with character permanent death, this game includes an additional easy game mode, where after being pawned, a character resurrects without losing any items, ready to get even with the enemy momentarily. Cartoon-styled graphics is another distinction from many large-pixel rivals, and it will attract those who haven’t played any roguelike games before. You can choose from 6 different heroes, each having some unique skills. Then you get to choose one of the three available locations and start fighting hordes of ferocious monsters, evil bosses and terrible dragons. Each location has 25 levels in it, and that means more than 10 hours of gameplay altogether. The levels are generated randomly that makes any journey unique, providing you with fresh impressions. Non-standard character leveling is formed randomly, too, and is represented by a field with 120 cells, each of them hiding a skill or a stat point. Skill cell is marked with gold. Learning an available cell opens its neighboring cells to be learned later.
The game includes crafting. In order to craft good items you need to gather all necessary components. There are recipes for it, and combat stats of crafted items are simply amazing. Of course, you’ll have to visit a blacksmith or an alchemist to do that. There are merchants who wait for a hero with pockets full of gold. These guys will sell you anything: weapons, armor, magical booze – all you need is gold. Watch out not to gamble your gold away playing cards. If you feel lucky, you can play with a lonely pirate. You won’t lose your pants – you can’t put them at stake – but losing your money is just as easy as doubling it. Additional quests won’t let you get bored. You can choose a quest you’re up to in any location. Experience, rewards and outstanding gags are guaranteed.

More than 100 monster types;
More than 500 items;
Three enemy lairs with 25 levels each.
The game is about to be released for other mobile platforms, as well as for PC.
