UPDATE:Mount and Blade have found a publisher and will go commercial
Mount&Blade is offered through a try before you buy model. You can download the game and start playing right away. What you download is not a demo, it is the full game. There is, however, a level limit at 6. When your character reaches level 6, you can start a new game or, if you decide you like the game well enough, go on and buy a license online. As soon as you buy a license you will obtain a serial key which will remove the level limit. You will not need to download the game again.

ShadowFlare is a mission-based PC action/role-playing game that consists of 4 episodes. You start your journey as a hired mercenary working for gold, precious items, and fighting experience in a demon-ruled land. As you adventure through the vast ruins of what’s left of the world, you’ll deduce what happened and who’s responsible for the devastation. Crystal Space is a free cross-platform software development kit for realtime 3D graphics, in particular games.

DimensioneX is what people would call a Multiplayer Game Engine. It lets you develop a game without having to re-inventing the wheel. Here’s what DimensioneX does for you:
-Display of the game scene, play sounds.
-Positioning and behaviour of the players in the game
-Communication via network between the players
-Management of saved games
-The users will play your games simply via their browser.
This game engine is actually a Java Servlet. It is not for a specific platform (i.e. PC or Mac) it will run on any Java-enabled web server (such as: Tomcat, also freeware).

UFO: ALIEN INVASION is a squad-based tactical strategy game in the tradition of the old X-COM PC games, but with a twist. Our game combines military realism with hard science-fiction and the weirdness of an alien invasion. The carefully constructed turn-based system gives you pin-point control of your squad while maintaining a sense of pace and danger.
Over the long term you will need to conduct research into the alien threat to figure out their mysterious goals and use their powerful weapons for your own ends. The game takes a lot of inspiration from the X-COM series by Mythos and Microprose. However, it’s neither a sequel nor a remake of any X-COM or other commercial title.
